Crystal Serenitys godmother, Julie Andrews, joins vessel during world cruise

LOS ANGELES -- Julie Andrews, who acted as the godmother to the Crystal Serenity in 2003, will be a celebrity guest on the vessel during its 2005 world cruise.

Andrews will be onboard the Serenity during the first leg of its 101-day trip, a cruise from Los Angeles to Tahiti via Hawaii and the Society Islands, and will sit for Q&A sessions and book signings.

Andrews will disembark in Tahiti, but the ship will sail on to Asia and then through the Suez Canal to ports in Egypt, Greece and the western Mediterranean, finishing up in the U.K.

Crystal Cruises said dozens of other noted entertainers and lecturers will join the Serenity throughout the cruise.
