Crystal adds second embarkation port on Symphony's Caribbean cruises

The Crystal Symphony is embarking passengers in Antigua; it added St. Maarten as a second embarkation option.

Crystal Cruises added St. Maarten as a departure port for its Caribbean sailings on the Crystal Symphony starting in August.

The 15 departures had already been scheduled with departures from St. John's, Antigua; now, the ship will also embark passengers in Philipsburg, St. Maarten.

The series of cruises will start from Philipsburg Aug. 2 and then call in St. John's starting Aug. 5.

The ship's 10-day Luxury Caribbean Escapes sailings will also call in Barbados, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and the British Virgin Islands. The ship will overnight in St. John's, Philipsburg and Bridgetown, Barbados.

Crystal said that the addition of St. Maarten as a port of departure expands the air options for guests, as major U.S. cities provide airlift to the island. Reservations for the St. Maarten departures open May 12.

The Symphony itineraries, together with Crystal's 10-day Iceland sailings on the Crystal Endeavor and seven-day Bahamas cruises on the Crystal Serenity, comprise the resumption of service of 97% of Crystal's oceangoing fleet.
