Crystal Cruises will move its calls in South Florida from Miami to Fort Lauderdale starting in 2017.

“We are relocating select fall sailings and look forward to working with Port Everglades to expand our itineraries in this market,” Crystal CEO Edie Rodriguez said.

The Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony mostly sail outside the Caribbean. They will make eight sailings to and from Port Everglades starting Oct. 27, 2017, Crystal said.

The move could gain added significance when Crystal begins operating three new ships set for delivery starting in 2019, giving it the capacity for new deployments.
