Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has cancelled the naming ceremony for its Hanseatic Nature expedition ship scheduled for April 12 in Hamburg.

Hapag-Lloyd said that the handover from the shipyard is likely to be delayed, "bringing uncertainty to our plans."

At this point, Hapag-Lloyd said it would focus on preparations for a maiden voyage departing April 13, but that "this schedule will be challenging."

The 230-passenger ship is intended for the German-speaking market. A second ship, the Hanseatic Inspiration due later this year, is planned for the international market.
