Norwegian coastal and expedition specialist Hurtigruten said it will add another ship to do itineraries in Antarctica.

Starting in September 2016, Hurtigruten will operate the Midnatsol on 10 new itineraries starting from Punta Arenas, Chile.

Most of the itineraries will combine with cruising in Chile’s fjords and the Antarctic Peninsula, Hurtigruten said. The line will also operate the Fram on Antarctic cruises from Ushuaia, Argentina.

Hurtigruten said the number of seasonal berths it offers in the Antarctic will increase from 2,268 to 6,800 as a result of the move.

Prices for the 15- to 18-day voyages on the Midnatsol range from $5,999 to $6,666 per person, Hurtigruten said.
