Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas will get 24 new outside and balcony accommodations as part of a $30 million renovation in April.

A two-bedroom family suite will also be added. The ship will get new restaurants: Giovanni’s Table, Izumi and Vintages. Chops Grille, the retail shops and the spa will be refreshed.

A new poolside movie screen will be installed and Jewel will be equipped for Voom, Royal Caribbean’s high-speed Internet.

The ship is scheduled to sail the Mediterranean from Civitavecchia, Italy, starting in May.

The 2,500-passenger Jewel entered service in 2004.
