Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic said it will offer
free roundtrip air from Miami or a complimentary two-day extension in Panama
City for select Panama and Costa Rica sailings aboard the National Geographic
Sea Lion this winter.
The two-day option includes visits to the new Canal
Expansion Observation Center for the construction site, and the new Frank
Gehry-designed Biodiversity Museum as well as a private dinner at the Atlantic
and Pacific Co. restaurant, where guests can observe the daily operations of
the canal while dining.
Bookings made by Nov. 30 can choose free air or the extension
on some January and February 2016 dates. Bookings on the Nov. 28 or Dec. 12
departures receive a $500 air credit. The offers are subject to availability
and are for new bookings only, Lindblad said.
Starting next year, Lindblad will offer standup paddleboarding
with equipment stored aboard the ship.
Also, a nine-day Costa Rica land excursion can be booked in
conjunction with the cruise. Accommodations include a stay in a rustic lodge at
the water's edge and private bungalows, Lindblad said.
