A growing list of cruise lines will launch cruises from the U.K. this summer aimed at the domestic market there.

Royal Caribbean International will base a ship in England this summer, starting July 7 with the Anthem of the Seas, which will offer 999 free cabins to members of the U.K.'s National Health Service, social-care sector and armed forces.

The Anthem will homeport in Southampton and operate 4- to 8-day roundtrip sailings to destinations including Liverpool, England; Belfast, Northern Ireland and Kirkwall in Scotland. The cruises are only open to fully vaccinated adult U.K. residents and those under the age of 18 with a negative test result.

Celebrity Cruises also will offer sailings for vaccinated U.K. residents and guests 18 and under with a negative PCR test. The cruises, on the Celebrity Silhouette, will sail from Southampton beginning July 3 on six- to eight-day itineraries around Britain's coastline.

Disney will launch two-, three- and four-day sailings from Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool and Southampton on the Disney Magic, also exclusively available to U.K. residents. Disney said more details on the sailings would come soon.

MSC Cruises will put its newest ship, the MSC Virtuosa, delivered in February, on its series of mini and weeklong cruises around the U.K. for British guests. The Virtuosa's maiden voyage will be May 20 as the first in a series of 3- and 4-day cruises before launching 7-day cruises on June 12 with embarkation ports in both England and Scotland.

Viking will offer three U.K. sailings beginning in May on its newest ocean ship, the Viking Venus.

Princess Cruises and its sister brand Cunard Line are also offering UK domestic cruises. Princess' Regal Princess and Sky Princess will cruise from Southampton around the coastline starting July 31 and August 30, respectively. Cunard will offer a season of domestic "staycation voyages" to U.K. residents on the Queen Elizabeth.

Both Cunard and Viking cited the U.K.'s plan to allow the resumption of domestic cruises beginning in May.
