N.Y. Gaming Ship Shuts Down

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Bay Casino, which offered gaming cruises from Sheepshead Bay, suspended operations after the U.S. Attorney's Office here tightened offshore rules to require vessels to travel at least 12 miles from shore before gambling is allowed.

The company said it is offering refunds to clients who had purchased or reserved tickets to sail on its Liberty I. The offshore limit previously had been three miles.
