Norwegian Cruise Line is closing the curtain on two Broadway musical adaptations.
"Jersey Boys" will end its run on the Norwegian Bliss during a seven-day cruise departing Los Angeles on Feb. 8. "Beetlejuice" will conclude on the Norwegian Viva during its seven-day cruise departing Galveston on March 21.
At the same time, NCL said it plans to bring existing shows to more ships in its fleet, including "Choir of Man" and "Syd Norman's Presents: Rumours."
NCL described updating its entertainment lineup as a "multi-year initiative" of adding original programming on an ongoing basis.
"Our team is focused not only on delivering high-quality theater productions … but also more robust daily activities for guests to enjoy throughout their NCL cruise," a spokesperson said.
"Jersey Boys" debuted on the Norwegian Bliss when the ship debuted in 2018. "Beetlejuice" has been running on the Viva since it began sailing in 2023.
NCL has ended other Broadway musical adaptations in recent years, including "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical," "Six," "Footloose" and "Kinky Boots."
