National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions will expand offerings in Alaska and relaunch South Pacific sailings in 2027.

The National Geographic Resolution will sail the South Pacific in March and April of 2027. Itineraries will include an 18-day journey from Easter Island to Tahiti and an 11-day sailing roundtrip from Tahiti.

The cruise line most recently sailed the region last February but will not be there in 2026.

"We are constantly looking for new geographies to explore, which often means repositioning our ships from one destination to another," a spokesperson said. "While we will be absent from the region for these two years, it makes the return all the more exciting."

The additional Alaska sailings will be aboard the National Geographic Quest and the National Geographic Venture and include eight-, 11- and 14-day sailings. The cruise line didn't say how many Alaska sailings it is adding in total.

National Geographic-Lindblad also shared it is expanding cruises in Japan, with more itineraries on a 16-day coastal voyage.
