Oceania Cruises said it will add land tours that extend its shipboard culinary program.

Starting in the spring of 2016, the line will add a collection of Culinary Creations Land Tours in Rome, Barcelona, London, Buenos Aires, Athens and in Provence and Tuscany. Tours will take place before, during and after cruises.

For example, the culinary tour of Provence will start in Monte Carlo with a coach trip to into the countryside for a three-night stay at the Chateau de Berne. Guests will help prepare a traditional Provencal lunch at the chateau using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients from the chef's vegetable and herb gardens.

After sampling wine and local delicacies between tours of traditional villages, guests will visit Le Thoronet and Cotignac, and learn about local olive oil production and regional specialties in Moulin de Pascaline.

In addition, guests will gain insight into the distinct wines of Provence during a tasting and tour of a private wine cellar.

The land tours will be offered in connection with cruises on the Nautica, Marina, Riviera and Sirena. Prices for the Culinary Creations Land Tours start at $1,399 per guest based on double occupancy.
