-- Port Everglades here, one of the largest cruise ports in the
U.S., said it has already surpassed its previous annual passenger
record and is on track for more than 4 million passengers during
its current fiscal year.
The south Florida
port surpassed its 2003 total during the first nine months of its
current fiscal year (which runs through September), counting
3,409,116 cruise passengers.
In July, the
total reached 3,689,834 passengers, exceeding the port's previous
record of 3,485,857 passengers, which was set in 2002.
