Premier to base ships in Mexico

NEW YORK -- Premier Cruises is expected to announce a plan on April 22 to homeport two ships in Mexico.

Starting late this year, Premier intends to base a vessel in Puerto Calica, a short distance from Cancun, for three- four- and seven-night itineraries that can be combined into cruise/land packages. At the same time, Premier will inaugurate a similar program from Puerto Vallarta. Premier plans to launch the programs using chartered vessels under 600 berths.
