Princess Cruises has launched a blog called "50 Essential Experiences: The Travel Bucket List."
Weekly posts will be authored by one of 50 veteran employees through September 2011, Princess said. The cruise blog’s first entry is a story about visiting the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, written by Crystal Morgan, Princess’ director of market planning, itineraries and deployments.
A click on Morgan’s byline takes the reader to a bio page with a Q&A, where she answers questions such as "What's your most treasured travel souvenir?" and "What's the most memorable dish you've eaten during your travels?"
Each of the 50 selected bloggers has been with Princess for more than 15 years, said the cruise line. Each blog entry will be a personal story, and each blogger will have a bio page with a Q&A.
All destinations described in the blog will be ones that passengers can visit during a Princess cruise.
"Few people have seen more of the world than Princess' own destination experts," said Jan Swartz, Princess’ executive vice president. "And because they’ve been to so many destinations, they’re often asked to recommend those don’t-miss experiences that people should be sure to put on their travel bucket list."
Blog visitors will be encouraged to share their experiences, and a different reader experience will be selected and showcased each week.
