Princess Charlene of Monaco will christen the newest Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship at an evening ceremony on July 13 in Monte Carlo.

The $450 million Seven Seas Explorer is the first new ship in over a decade for Regent and is being built to an unparalleled standard of luxury, according to the line.

Musical entertainment for the ceremony will be provided by tenor Andrea Bocelli, who will take the stage for a 40-minute performance, Regent said.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco were married in 2011. Bocelli performed at their wedding.

The princess, 38 years old, was born in Zimbabwe. Her family later moved to South Africa and she competed in swimming for South Africa during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Seven Seas Explorer has the capacity for 750 guests. Its 3,875-square-foot Regent Suite will be one of the largest and most opulent at sea.
