Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. promoted Adam Goldstein, president of Royal Caribbean International, and Dan Hanrahan, president of Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises, to CEOs of their respective brands.

Goldstein, a 19-year RCCL executive, and president of Royal Caribbean since 2005, becomes president and CEO of that brand. Hanrahan has been with RCCL for eight years, and president of Celebrity Cruises since 2005 and Azamara since May of this year.

Both officers will continue to report to RCCL Chairman and CEO Richard Fain, the company said, and both changes are effective immediately.

"They have built their brands into powerful and commanding market leaders, and have fully earned the broader designation as 'president and CEO' of those brands. This promotion reflects the roles they have already been fulfilling and is consistent with common industry practice," said Fain in a statement.

RCCL said that its Executive Committee will continue to consist of Fain, Goldstein, Hanrahan and Brian Rice, executive vice president and CFO.
