RCCL receives extension on option for second Ultra-Voyager ship

MIAMI -- Royal Caribbean Cruises' not-yet-delivered Ultra-Voyager will remain without a sister ship, at least for now.

The company last week was granted a one-month extension on its option to construct a second Ultra-Voyager from shipbuilder Kvaerner Masa-Yards.

The company didn't elaborate on any details of the Ultra-Voyager -- except to say that it will be 15% bigger than its Voyager-class predecessors. The first Ultra-Voyager will be delivered in May 2006.
