RCCL upgrades Insight agent tool, waives fees

MIAMI -- Royal Caribbean Cruises, parent company of Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, enhanced its Insight agent software to make it easier to access information, check expiration dates for reservations, use information off line and manage tour bookings for both lines.

Using a new search function, agents can sort bookings by expiration date, helping to catch bookings that are about to expire. Another new function enables agents to export information from Insight to Excel, enabling them to work off line. The system also offers a new feature that allows agents to check information about group bookings.

Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are waiving the fees previously charged for customers traveling from gateways from which the cruise operators do not offer air.

Under the previous arrangement, customers traveling from a gateway not offered by the cruise lines had to either pay an administrative fee to have custom air booked or had to book their own air separately.

The administrative fee for custom air is still applicable to customers flying out of gateways from which Royal Caribbean does offer air.
