Norwegian Cruise Line's short-cruise ship sailing from Miami, the Norwegian Sky, has returned from a three-week drydock with new venues, updated spaces and redesigned staterooms and corridors.

Eight new venues were introduced to Norwegian Sky. These include pub-style eatery The Local Bar & Grill; La Cucina for classic Italian fare; Sugarcane Mojito Bar; Topsiders, the poolside bar; late-night venues Bliss Ultra Lounge and Spinnaker Lounge; a full-service Starbucks; and the Pinnacle Lounge and Sushi Bar, which is new to the Norwegian fleet.

Norwegian describes the Pinnacle Lounge and Sushi Bar as "a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere to enjoy original and traditional sushi concepts while taking in the endless views of the ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows."

All 1,002 staterooms were upgraded with new televisions and USB outlets, as well as new carpet, artwork, furniture, lighting and balcony decking.

The Norwegian Sky began sailing for Norwegian in 1999 and is the line's oldest ship.
