Royal Caribbean International added short cruises from Barcelona and more Caribbean sailings to a revamped summer 2021 lineup.
The changes include adding departures from Tampa and San Juan.
The Adventure of the Seas, previously scheduled to sail from Copenhagen and Stockholm, will offer new 4- and 5-day Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona to destinations including La Spezia and Rome, Italy; Ajaccio, Nice and Marseille, France; and Palma and Ibiza, Spain.
The Brilliance of the Seas was set to sail out of Miami but will instead stay in Tampa for the summer in order to offer a new drive-to port on Florida's west coast, offering 4-, 5- and 7-day Caribbean cruises.
The Independence of the Seas, originally sailing from Fort Lauderdale, will relocate to Miami and sail 6- and 8-day cruises to the Southern and Western Caribbean; the Vision of the Seas, previously set to sail from Barcelona, will homeport in San Juan, offering a new program of 7-day, Southern Caribbean itineraries.
Other changes include moving the Jewel of the Seas from Amsterdam and Barcelona to Copenhagen and Stockholm where it will offer 7-day cruises to the Northern European ports of Helsinki; Tallinn, Estonia; and Visby, Sweden.
The line said that it tapped market research and feedback from guests and travel partners in making adjustments to its 2021 summer schedule with the goal of providing guests with greater variety.
