Royal Caribbean Group's first private destination in Europe, Royal Beach Club Santorini, opened today.

The beach club is bookable as a shore excursion, called the Ultimate Santorini Day, which includes access to both a private beach and visits to two other parts of the island: Oia and Fira.

The beach area has black sand, loungers with umbrellas and a DJ. There is an all-you-can-eat buffet as well as grab-and-go-style food. Draft beer, house wines and nonalcoholic beverages are included in the entry fee.

Only Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea passengers and local Greek residents may purchase access to the beach club.

This is Royal Caribbean's second beach club, a new model of private destinations it has introduced that guests must pay to enter. In December, it opened Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau. More are in the pipeline, including one in Lelepa.
