SeaDream Yacht Club’s SeaDream II will head back to the Amazon in 2013, with two 20-night voyages.

The ship will sail the first Amazon itinerary on Feb. 10, from Barbados to Iquitos, Peru. The second will depart Peru for Barbados on March 23. Rates start at $16,999 per person.

“The Amazon River voyages sailing in 2012 have been extremely popular, and although we still have a few staterooms available, we knew guests would want to know as soon as possible that we’ll be returning to the Amazon in 2013,” said SeaDream President Bob Lepisto.

SeaDreamIIPorts of call will include Devil's Island, French Guiana; Parintins, Manaus and Panelas, Brazil; and Leticia, Colombia.

A naturalist will be aboard the Amazon voyages, providing in-depth information about the river wilderness. Excursions will feature the jungle’s exotic plants and animals, Amazonian tribes, museums and markets.

Machu Picchu will be an optional pre- and post-cruise tour.

The line, which released its early 2013 program for the 112-passenger SeaDream I and SeaDream II twin yachts, said both ships will spend January to April sailing the Caribbean.

SeaDream II will offer voyages to the Grenadines, including the islands of Mayreau and Bequia. SeaDream I will visit La Samana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Both ships will visit ports in Puerto Rico: Fajardo Bay, Ponce and Caja de Muertos, and both will offer overnight stays in St. Barts.
