SeaDream Yacht Club will resume sailing the Black Sea and calling in Istanbul in 2021, after avoiding the area for the past six years.

Many cruise lines abandoned Black Sea itineraries in 2014 after Russia annexed one of the prime attractions, the former Ukrainian territory of Crimea. In 2016, many cruise lines dropped Istanbul because of terror attacks in Turkey.

"Our guests were asking for new destinations and places we have not been to in a while, and we were happy to oblige," said Andreas Brynestad, SeaDream's executive vice president.

In addition, SeaDream will offer two 2021 cruises that stop in Israel, one in May and another in October. It is the first time SeaDream has gone to Israel.
