Seabourn Cruises took delivery of the 450-guest Seabourn Quest on Tuesday at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy.
Actress Blythe Danner will serve as godmother and name the all-suite ship during a ceremony in Barcelona on June 20, before the ship departs on a 14-day maiden voyage to Athens.
The Quest's inaugural season includes seven-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises departing from Athens, Istanbul, Venice and Athens. There also will be a seven-day Black Sea voyage.
In the fall, the ship will reposition to Fort Lauderdale and sail a series of roundtrip Caribbean voyages. On Jan. 5, it will begin a 109-day world cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Venice.
The Quest is a sister vessel to the Odyssey and Sojourns, Seabourn ships that entered service in June 2009 and June 2010, respectively.
The line also operates the Seabourn Legend, Spirit and Pride.
