Seabourn named Cunard executive Steve Smotrys vice president of global sales, effectively immediately.
Smotrys replaces Chris Austin, previously head of global sales and marketing, who departed Seabourn earlier this month after coming over from Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 2016.
Prior to joining Seabourn, Smotrys was vice president of sales and trade marketing for Cunard North America, where he worked alongside Josh Leibowitz, who was appointed president of Seabourn in June.
"Steve and I have worked closely together over the past several years," Leibowitz said in a statement. "He brings a deep understanding of the luxury market and the travel industry. Many of our travel advisor partners know Steve well, and we encourage them to join us in welcoming Steve to the Seabourn family."
Smotrys has been with the Carnival Corp. family of brands since 2000 when he joined Princess Cruises, where he stayed until joining Cunard in 2013.
He will be responsible for Seabourn's global sales efforts, leading the teams that support the travel advisor community in North America, Europe, the U.K., Asia and Australia.
