A spy, an astronaut, a diplomat, a portrait painter and a mountain climber are among the speakers who will lecture aboard Seabourn's 146-day world cruise in 2020.
The cruise aboard Seabourn Sojourn will depart Miami on January 4, 2020, and will conclude in San Francisco on May 28, with 62 ports of call in 36 countries on five continents in between.
Lecturers will include:
John O. Creighton (onboard Jan. 4 to 15, Miami to Barbados) A pilot or commander for three U.S. missions aboard Discovery or Atlantis space shuttles.
Alan Collins (Feb. 11 to March 6, Cape Town, South Africa, to Male, the Maldives) A veteran of high-ranking posts in the British Diplomatic Service.
Richard Stone (Feb. 25 to March 6, Mombasa, Kenya, to Male) The British royal portrait painter for four decades.
Paul Deegan (April 2 to 12, Hong Kong to Benoa, Indonesia) An award-winning author and veteran climber of mountainous regions on five continents.
Fulton Armstrong (May 7 to 20, Suva, Fiji, to Honolulu) An espionage expert who has spent 15 years studying and working on spy research, while teaching about intelligence and foreign policy at American University in Washington.
The lineup also includes include long-distance swimmer Lynne Cox; National Geographic photographer Alison Wright; classical music critic Ted Libbey; and, in her first appearance on Seabourn, Zelda La Grange, a former private secretary to Nelson Mandela.
