Introduction and History

The Costa Favolosa debuted in 2011 before its sister ship, the Costa Fascinosa, in 2012. Both ships feature Concordia-class elements.

The 114,500-ton, 3,800-passenger sister ships were built by Italy's Fincantieri shipyard and were part of one of Costa's major fleet expansions. Owned by Carnival, Costa is Europe's largest cruise line with a fleet of more than a dozen ships ranging in size from 25,000 to well over 100,000 tons.
