The 684-passenger Insignia returned to Oceania Cruises' fleet in May 2014 after a two-year charter to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

Along with its two sisters, the Regatta and Nautica, the Insignia underwent a $50 million refurbishment during an extensive dry dock prior to rejoining the fleet, giving the ship many of the interior design elements from Oceania's Marina and Riviera.
