'Fun Island' packages feature ferry from Florida

NEW YORK -- High-speed ferry operator Bahamas Florida Express is floating new Fun Island packages to the Westin and Sheraton at Our Lucaya resort on Grand Bahama Island.

Available are two versions of the packaged vacation deals, which include roundtrip transportation on the firm's new high-tech CAT ferry from Port Everglades, Fla.

First, a three-night stay at the Sheraton portion of the Our Lucaya property runs $257 per person, based on double occupancy and arrival on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.
