'Storm' hits Mandalay Bay's stage

LAS VEGAS -- "Storm," a new theatrical production, has enveloped the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino here.

The show, described as a combination live concert, Broadway theater experience and Las Vegas dance spectacular, premiered in April in the resort's Storm Theatre.

The show does not have a curtain, which is said to help in audience participation. "Storm" has four acts that combine music and the illusion of the ferocity of nature.

The characters Earth, Wind, Fire and Water lead a cast of 50 performers through 14 songs.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays; 10:30 p.m. Fridays, and 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Tickets are $55 and $65 plus tax, and are available through the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580 or any box office at the Luxor, Monte Carlo, Excalibur or Circus Circus.
