LONDON -- Some 150,000 admission tickets to Althorp, the
ancestral estate and burial place of Diana, Princess of Wales, sold
out just days after they were made available to the public.
Althorp is located near Northampton, England, about 70 miles
north of London.
The princess was killed in a Paris car crash last Aug. 31, and
was buried at Althorp on Sept. 6.
The Spencer family estate will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
from July 1, which is the princess' birthday, to Aug. 30.
Tickets were sold for $15 each, with profits benefiting the
Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
She is buried on a small island on the estate. No visitors will
be allowed on the island, but will be able to see a memorial
marking her grave.
