A fjord-able fun: Norwegian Fjord Center to debut

GEIRANGER, Norway -- June 15 will mark the opening of a new interactive educational center here set on the scenic, 10-mile-long Geirangerfjord, famed for waterfalls such as the Seven Sisters and the Bridal Veil.

The Norwegian Fjord Center will feature multimedia exhibitions exploring fjord-related history and culture, including a re-created 19th century farm, a simulated avalanche and a wide-screen film journey through the fjord.

The center will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; admission is about $8.35 per person.
