Air Canada sets D.C.-Vancouver nonstop service

WASHINGTON -- Air Canada said it will begin daily nonstop service between Washington (Dulles) and Vancouver on June 5.

The service will augment Air Canada's 27 daily nonstop flights between the Washington area and Canada.

From Dulles, Air Canada flight 695 will depart daily at 9 a.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 11:10 a.m.

The return flight, 696, will depart Vancouver at 2:30 p.m. and arrive at Dulles at 10:40 p.m.

Air Canada said it will fly the new service with 112-seat A319 aircraft.

To promote the service, Air Canada will reward members of Air Canada's, Canadian Airlines' and United Airlines' frequent flyer programs with double bonus miles when traveling on the new route between June 5 and Aug. 31.

The service will bring to 290 the number of daily nonstop flights from 54 cities operated by Air Canada between the U.S. and Canada.
