Almond Beach Extends Kids Promotion

ST. PETER -- Almond Beach Village extended its kids stay free promotion for stays of six or more nights on bookings made through Aug. 31.

The promotion is based on double occupancy and is valid for travel during September, October and November at the inclusive property, which spans 33 acres and a mile-long stretch of beach.

The resort also introduced an educational coloring/cookbook for children called "Enid Goes to Market."

The book includes recipes for local dishes, such as sweet potato chips, along with a rating system that uses drawings of spoons to represent level of difficulty.

Recipes with a single-spoon rating means children can prepare the dish by themselves; the two-spoon rating indicates that help from an adult is needed, and three spoons means an adult should prepare the dish.

The book's character is named after the resort's restaurant. The concept ties in with the resort's weekly Bajan cooking class; brand of condiments and Tommy's Rum Shop Book that has 50 drink recipes.
