American Skiing Co. sells Steamboat resort for $91.4M

BETHEL, Maine. -- American Skiing Co. signed an agreement to sell its Steamboat Springs ski resort in Colorado to a group of investors led by Tim and Diane Mueller.

The Muellers also own the Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont and operate the Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire.

The acquisition price was $91.4 million.

The Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel and Conference Center, owned by American Skiing, was not included in the sale, and is expected to be completed in March.
