Anasazi of Santa Fe schedules dinner series

LAS VEGAS -- Anasazi of Santa Fe, a contemporary southwestern restaurant and lounge located in the Harbor Gate area of Desert Passage, scheduled three special-event dinners.

On June 6, the restaurant will host a Corazon Tequila Dinner, which will feature the owner and the spiritmaker of Mexico's Corazon tequila.

The company's award-winning Blanco and Reposado tequilas as well as the newly introduced Anejo tequila will be paired with summer-season Mexican foods such as ceviche, Pacific lobster and rose petal quail.

The various types of tequila and the process of making the liquor will be discussed during the evening.

The dinner is priced at $60 per person, not including tax and gratuity.

Classic fall dishes paired with Ferrari-Carano wines will be on the menu Oct. 11.

The dinner will focus primarily on the fall grape harvest, with special attention to fresh green chile from New Mexico that complements sauvignon blanc.

Wine grape sauces also will be prepared to complement both the wines and the food.

The Ferrari-Carano dinner will cost $80 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The last of the dinner series will be held Dec. 6, with the main focus on how champagne complements the restaurant's style of cooking seafood, meats and vegetarian dishes.

House-cured products such as salmon, smoked turkey and sausages will be used to illustrate the versatility of champagne.

The Moet et Chandon Champagne and Anasazi dinner will be priced at $80 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

A 10% discount will be given if two dinners are booked, and a 15% reduction is offered if three dinners are booked.
