SYDNEY, Australia -- Admission to most exhibits at the Museum of
Contemporary Art here is free through 2001, thanks to a grant from
a local telephone company.
The museum is in the heart of a tourist area here called The
Rocks and faces the ferry embarkation area of Circular Quay.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Although admission is free to the museum, some exhibits will
carry an entry fee from time to time.
For example, through March 4, the exhibit called "Full Moon:
Apollo Mission Photographs of the Lunar Landscape" will be about
$5.60 for adults and about $4 for children.
On Jan. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., there is a special program
in which an Australian representative of NASA will give a talk on
the Apollo photos, followed by a look at the moon through a
telescope. The price of the talk is included in the admission to
the Apollo exhibit.
The museum will be hosting several other free talks given by
artists and others at the museum, all at 2:30 p.m.Jan. 14 -- Dreaming the Stars, Astronomy in Aboriginal
