SUN VALLEY, Idaho -- Travel agents booking packages through more
than 100 tour operators that specialize in the Sun Valley ski
resort can offer their clients more flexibility. A new program
enables clients to exchange lift tickets for other activities.
Jack Sibbich, the
resort's director of sales and marketing, said multiday lift
tickets that are typically available as part of packages can be
exchanged this season at Sun Valley for snowshoeing, cross-country
skiing and other recreation activities, or dining.
A one-day lift ticket can be exchanged for a cross-country trail
pass and rental equipment, or for a snowshoe rental and lunch at
the Trail Creek cabin. Lift tickets also can be exchanged for group
snowboard or ski clinics; a dinner or a Sunday brunch at the Sun
Valley Lodge dining room; a dinner and a movie in Sun Valley, or
tickets to a musical performance.
Guests who do not ski or want to take a break from skiing can
use the ticket for a lift ride to lunch at the Roundhouse
restaurant, halfway up Baldy Mountain.
Travel agents can call Sun Valley at (208) 622-2231 for contact
information on wholesalers selling packages that include the
exchangeable lift tickets.
