Atlanta chain, Canada group in partnership

ATLANTA -- Suburban Lodges of America, an Atlanta-based franchiser of extended-stay hotels, was named the exclusive extended-stay partner of the Canadian Snowbird Association (CSA), an organization of Canadian travelers.

The partners estimate that nearly 500,000 snowbirds will travel in the U.S. during the next few months.

Most CSA members are seniors; 97% of members make at least one trip a year to warm-weather locations in the U.S.

Suburban Lodges of America owns and operates the Suburban Lodge extended-stay hotels. Suburban Lodges has more than 170 locations open or in development in 26 states.

Under terms of the partnership, Suburban Lodges will be the only extended-stay chain to be promoted by CSA. The hotel company said it will attempt to boost its visibility with CSA members by advertising in the organization's periodical.

Agents earn 10% commissions when booking via the CRSs.

Suburban Lodges is in the process of creating a dedicated reservations line for CSA members, but the toll-free number has not yet been established. In the meantime, members can call (800) 951-7829 or visit
