Australia, New Zealand to launch campaign

LOS ANGELES -- Tourism New Zealand and the Australian Tourist Commission are partnering with Air New Zealand on a joint marketing campaign slated to run mid-September through April, according to an ATC spokeswoman here.

The campaign, valued at approximately $1.2 million, involves both television and print advertising, with the tag line "Action-Packed Duo. Two great adventures, one amazing price."

The tourist boards' first joint marketing effort earlier this year was a print-only campaign that ran January through May.

Separately, the ATC also is planning ad campaigns in partnership with United and Qantas to launch in September, the spokeswoman said.
