NEW YORK -- The British Tourist Authority launched a new U.S.
advertising campaign pitching the U.K. as the perfect short-break
destination for Americans.
The effort -- under the banner "Get Up and Go!" -- promotes
four-day deals priced from $299; print and online ads already have
brought in 3,000 bookings, said the BTA.
In addition, the group is raffling off a month's use of a Hertz
Jaguar sports car to travel agents who register to receive its
e-Britainews online newsletter, at www.travelbritain.org/bnews/register.
