Bellagio plans expansion of Gallery of Fine Arts

LAS VEGAS -- Long lines waiting to get into the Gallery of Fine Arts at the Bellagio have prompted a major expansion only eight months after the Strip resort's opening.

Mirage Resorts chairman Steve Wynn said the $7.5 million expansion will move the gallery to a new site opposite the hotel pool entrance.

The gallery, which has a $300 million collection of paintings by van Gogh, da Vinci, Rembrandt, Michelangelo and others, will be doubled to more than 2,600 square feet.
