BUDAPEST, Hungary -- About to begin its eighth year, BudaFest is a
highlight of the Hungarian summer cultural calendar.
From Aug. 6 to 18, top-notch artists perform at the State Opera
House. The ballet "Spartacus" will make its debut on the opening
night of the festival.
The ballet was choreographed by Laszlo Seregi, one of the
leading choreographers of Europe and a Hungarian native.
Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin" is scheduled for Aug. 10 and
17; Puccini's "Tosca" will be on stage on Aug. 13 and 14.
