CAPS broadens service with five more carriers

LAS VEGAS -- Certified Airline Passenger Service (CAPS) expanded its remote airline check-in service, adding five carriers to its list of airline partnerships.

Passengers traveling to Las Vegas on American Trans Air, Champion Air, Continental, Omni Air or Ryan International Airlines now can use the service, which enables travelers staying at member hotels or using member car rental agencies to check their luggage and obtain seat assignments and boarding passes two to 12 hours before their scheduled flight departing Las Vegas.

The five carriers join existing airline partners America West, Canada3000, Delta, Royal, Southwest, Sun Country, United and Virgin Atlantic.

The cost of the service is $6 per person for passengers ages 12 years and older.

Hotel and rental car partners include Aladdin Resort & Casino, Alamo Rent A Car, Bally's Las Vegas, Bellagio, Flamingo-Las Vegas, Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas Hilton, Luxor Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay Resort, Paris Las Vegas, Riviera Hotel & Casino, Sahara Hotel and Stardust Hotel.

CAPS, which started in November 1998, checked in its 100,000th customer at Bellagio on May 31.
