NEW YORK -- The sustainability of air transportation to the Caribbean is the key issue facing ministers of tourism who meet with airline representatives during the Caribbean Tourism Organization's Caribbean Week in New York, which runs through June 6.

Jean Holder, the CTO's secretary general, said that "without affordable air transportation from all source markets on a sustained and reliable basis" the Caribbean tourism industry cannot survive.

Tourism ministers from CTO's 32 member countries are expected to attend.
