CTO hires consultant

The Caribbean Tourism Organization appointed Ian Salter as its consultant to coordinate the development of a sustainable tourism policy for the region.

Working with the CTO, Salter will bring together the work done thus far by various Caribbean countries.

Salter's appointment falls under the Caribbean Regional Sustainable Tourism Development Program, a $10.6 million program funded by the European Union to help make the region's tourism sector more competitive and sustainable.

Salter has developed two sustainable tourism policies in Europe. His CTO appointment is in effect for 18 months.
