Caesars in Las Vegas ups agent pay to 12%

LAS VEGAS -- Caesars Palace in Las Vegas boosted agent commissions to 12% for new bookings made between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31.

"This program is designed to acknowledge the patronage of travel partners who have continually supported Caesars Palace," said John Yaskin, vice president of sales.

"Our travel industry partners are very important to us, and we hope that this gesture will assist them during these difficult times."

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will kick off a new television campaign on Oct. 3.

The three spots are targeting drive and short-flight markets, including southern California, Phoenix, Dallas, Chicago, Houston and the San Francisco Bay area.

The initiative is promoting the city's myriad amenities as well as the value available to consumers who are looking "to escape from the woes of the world for a few days to enjoy life."
