Calif.'s Barona Casino first to use cashless EZ Pay system

RENO, Nev. -- International Game Technology (IGT) shipped more than 1,500 gaming machines to several casinos operated by Native American tribes in California.

Besides popular games like Wheel of Fortune, Little Green Men, Fortune Cookie and Leopard Spots from IGT's iGame Plus series, the manufacturing company's new EZ Pay cashless machine system has attracted attention from several casino operators, reports Tom Baker, IGT's president and chief executive officer.

The system, introduced in California at Barona Casino, allows players to take a ticket printed from one EZ Pay machine and insert it in another machine's bill validator.
