Carnival slates two racing-themed voyages in '02

MIAMI -- Nascar Winston Cup champion Rusty Wallace will host two racing-themed sailings on Carnival in 2002

A four-day western Caribbean sailing aboard the Imagination departs May 9, and a seven-day eastern Caribbean cruise aboard Carnival Triumph departs Dec. 7.

On the cruises, participants can mingle with Wallace during a cocktail reception as well as during question-and-answer and autograph sessions.

Racing-themed contests and raffles will be held with giveaways such as race passes, racing shirts and a chance to serve as an honorary member of Wallace's pit crew for an upcoming race.

Passengers who are among the first 100 guests to reserve a cabin will receive a bag containing an assortment of racing logo items and merchandise.

During his 28-year career, Rusty Wallace attained 54 Nascar Winston Cup wins.

Prices for the Imagination voyage begin at $499 per person. The cruise sails from Miami to Key West, Fla., and Playa del Carmen/Cozumel, Mexico.

Rates for the seven-day Triumph voyage start at $699 per person with calls at San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Croix.
